What is 4th Party Logistics?

4th Party Logistics (also referred to as a 4PL) is the arrangement of a firm outsourcing its logistical operations to two or more specialist firms (the 3rd party logistics) & another specialist firm (the 4th party) coordinating the logistic activities of the third parties.
